Ingredients
1 small frozen banana
1/2 cup frozen berries (mixed)
1/2 cup water (depending on your preferred consistency)
Optional: sprinkle of mixed seeds or homemade granola
Berries are a wonderfully magical fruit. Packed with health benefits to say the least, these powerful fruits are low in calories and have a sweet, satisfying taste. Load up with a simple summer berry smoothie to start off your day. I buy my berries in bulk, so there is always a frozen pack in the deep freeze, ready for a morning buzz.
Combine all ingredients in a blender until smooth and creamy.
Enjoy with a fresh sprig of mint on a hot summers day!
Note: Peel and freeze your banana the night before. The frozen banana gives the smoothie a delicious creaminess.
