The trend of Chai is still strong, and for obvious reasons. It's delicious, healthy and particularly warming. Chai spices include black pepper, cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg - all of which have medicinal properties. I use a lot of cinnamon in my recipes. It has natural anti-inflammatory properties as well have having a beneficial effect on blood sugar levels. Ginger is known to assist with digestion and nutmeg contains anti-oxidant, disease preventing, and health promoting properties. What better way to combine all this goodness than in a sweet treat. Now you can enjoy a treat with your afternoon tea, guilt-free.
