Chocolate Date Biscuits
Posted on July 17, 2017
Once I was making dates and thought...I wonder if you can bake a date biscuit. I popped one into the oven and voila! Okay I then changed the recipe up a bit to make them more chocolatey, but still...why isn't everyone baking their dates! If you are looking for a chocolate treat, then you have it right here! These are perfect to serve for a late afternoon or evening tea with friends, trust me - they will LOVE them!
Preheat the oven to 180C
Soak the dates in warm water for an hour or until softened.
Blend the dates to form a paste.
Fold in the flours and nuts and roll into balls.
Flatten with a fork and (optional: dust with coconut) before popping into the over.
Bake for 15 minutes, or longer for crisper biscuits
