1 tsp Turmeric
1 tsp Ginger
1 tsp Chilli flakes
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp coriander
Juice of 1/2 lemon
This recipe follows on from my previous fish recipe, it's just another variant. I have been having so much fun with Angel fish lately, but you can really use any white fish in this recipe. I found Woolworths has a great affordable option, and have started including it in my weekly shop. Fish is a wonderful protein source, while being low in carbs and a source of healthy fats. It's also delicious, simple to make and pairs with any veggies you have available. I find it goes wonderfully with chopped avocado and roasted sweet potato wedges. Happy cooking !
Combine all spices in a small ramekin.
Lay fish on a flat surface and dab with roller towel to remove excess moisture.
Squeeze over some lemon juice and then rub in the spice mixture on one side.
While doing this, heat up a pan to med-high heat and add a dollop of coconut oil or butter.
Place fish, spice side down, on the pan and fry for 4 minutes.
While this side is frying, squeeze over a bit more lemon juice.
Flip and fry for another 4 minutes or until cooked.
Serve with cubed avocado and sweet potato wedges.
Enjoy :)
